The Tri Valley Service FCU and Allegent Community FCU merger is effective December 1, 2024.
Over the coming months, we’ll share important dates and action items to guide you through the transition to Allegent Community FCU’s system. Please revisit this webpage frequently for important updates regarding the Merger and action items you may need to take along the way!
*Note: The answer to the FAQs may change at any time. Allegent Community FCU will be converting Tri Valley FCU members to Allegent Community’s operating system starting April 30, 2025, and will be completed on May 2nd, 2025.

General Information
How is the merger structured?
Tri Valley Service FCU merged into Allegent Community FCU as of December 1, 2024. Allegent Community FCU is the surviving credit union.
Why are the credit unions merging?
This merger leverages market synergies, expands our service territories, and enhances access to financial technologies.
What does this mean for members?
This will allow Tri Valley Service FCU members to utilize an expanded suite of products and services that are offered by Allegent Community FCU.
Can I start using products from Allegent Community FCU right away?
Yes!
How can I contact the credit union branches?
Tri Valley Service FCU members will continue to call and email the Scott Township Branch until May 2, 2025. After May 2, 2025, members may contact any Allegent Community FCU Branch.

Membership and Branches and ATMs
Will members be able to use Allegent Community FCU branches and ATMs immediately?
Tri Valley Service FCU- members will need to continue to use the Scott Township Branch until May 2, 2025. If you are an existing Allegent Community FCU member, you can visit all branches, including the Scott Township Branch, as of December 1, 2024.
Who is eligible to join Allegent Community FCU?
Anyone who lives, works, worships, or attends school in Allegheny, Beaver, or Butler County is eligible for membership.
About Allegent Community FCUWhat will happen to the staff from both credit unions involved in the merger?
All staff from both credit unions will be retained for employment at Allegent Community FCU.
What happens to existing branches?
The Tri Valley Service FCU branch will remain open and rebranded as Allegent Community FCU’s Scott Township Branch location.
Branch LocationsWill current members need to reapply for membership?
No, you will retain your membership.
Will branch hours change?
No. All Allegent locations are open Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM.
Our Penn Hills location is also open on Saturday from 9 am – Noon.
Branch InformationWhere can I find ATMs?
Allegent Community FCU has ATMs at five locations surcharge free. Allegent also offers access to PNC® ATM’s nationwide surcharge free. An additional ATM will be installed at the Scott Township branch by spring/summer 2025.
Accounts and Services
Will my account numbers change?
Yes, your account number will change. Your new account number will be 7 digits long beginning with a 7 followed by 0’s and ending with your Tri Valley account number (Totaling 7 digits). For example, if your account number was 12345, your new account number would be 7012345.
Will the routing number change?
Yes, the routing number will change. The new routing number for Allegent Community FCU is 243083240.
Will Checking and Club Accounts change?
No, your accounts will remain unchanged.
Please review your accounts on or after May 2nd and contact Allegent with any questions.
What happens to my share certificates and IRAs?
Share certificates: No changes until maturity. Upon renewal, they will convert to Allegent’s certificate of deposit product.
IRAs: No changes.
Will fees change?
Fees may change; please contact Allegent Community FCU for the most up-to-date information.
Will my deposits continue to be insured?
Yes, deposits will continue to be insured up to $250,000 per individual depositor.
Cards and Payments
Will my debit card and PIN still work?
Yes, you can continue to use your current debit card and PIN until April 30, 2025.
You will receive a new Allegent Debit card before the end of April. You will be able to continue to use your current Tri Valley Debit/ATM card until 12:00 pm on April 30th, 2025. Starting at noon on April 30, 2025, you will begin using your new Allegent Debit Card as your Tri Valley Debit card will no longer work. Please make sure to activate your new Allegent debit card prior to usage.
Allegent will no longer offer Pre-Paid Debit cards. All members may apply for a checking account to receive an Allegent debit card for purchases.
What about pre-authorized transactions, direct deposits, and checks?
These will continue to function without interruption.
Allegent will continue to process all debit and credit items presented.
To avoid any potential interruption please provide the Allegent Routing number 243083240 to your employer and all merchants as soon as possible.
To set up any new check-by-phone or e-check payment provide the Allegent routing number and your checking account number.
When you need to reorder checks, you can call us at 412-642-2875 or visit an Allegent branch.
Does Allegent offer payment app options?
Yes, starting May 2, 2025, Tri Valley members can access Apple Pay®, Google Pay®, and Samsung Pay®.
Does Allegent Community FCU offer Zelle®?
Yes, starting May 2, 2025, Tri Valley members can access Zelle® thru online banking or our mobile app.
What if I had a Tri Valley Credit Card?
You will continue to use your Tri Valley credit card until October 12, 2025. You will begin using your new Allegent credit card on Monday, October 13, 2025 and will receive your new Allegent credit card approximately 2 weeks prior to October 13, 2025.
How will I make my Tri Valley Credit Card payment?
You will continue to use the Tri Valley credit card portal to make your payments and view your credit card statements at www.ezcardinfo.com
Online Banking
How will I access online banking?
Continue using the current Tri Valley Service FCU online banking until the system conversion occurs until April 30, 2025.
If I was a Tri Valley member, would I be able to continue to use my current online and mobile banking user ID and password?
You will be able to use your current online and mobile banking account with Tri Valley until April 30th .
Online & mobile banking channels will be down until 11 am on May 1 st thru 11 am on May 2, 2025.
On May 2, 2025, you will need to sign up for Allegent’s online banking at www.allegentfcu.org. You will have to use your new Allegent Account # to enroll (See “Will my account number change” under “Accounts and Services” section of this FAQ ).
Statements
Will statement cycles change?
No, statement cycles will remain the same.
Will I still have access to my previous statements and e-Statements?
Yes, you will continue to have access to your historical statements after the merger.
Loans and Loan Payments
Will existing loans be affected?
No, your loan terms will remain unchanged.
Where should I send loan payments?
Allegent offers online payment methods that will be available to Tri Valley accounts on May 2, 2025.
What if I have automatic payments or payroll deductions?
These will remain as is for now.
Please check your balances for accuracy and contact Allegent if any corrections must be made.
If I was a Tri Valley member, can I still apply for a loan during this process?
Members may apply for an Allegent loan up until April 15, 2025.
On April 15, 2025, loan applications will be paused until after the merger’s completion on May 2, 2025.
